Welcome to the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties' STEM Saturdays Program!

Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)?

Our STEM Saturdays program is designed for students aged 10-16 who are eager to explore and learn through hands-on experiences.

Program Details:

  • When: Once a month on a Saturday - Starting January 25th
  • Where: United Way of HDC Office 445 W. Main St., Clarksburg
  • Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • Who: Students aged 10-16

What to Expect: Our STEM Saturdays program offers a dynamic and interactive learning environment where students can develop essential STEM skills. Each session is packed with engaging activities and projects that make learning fun and impactful. Here's a glimpse of what students will learn:

  • Coding Basics: Understand the fundamentals of coding and how it powers the digital world.
  • Game Coding: Dive into the world of game development and create your own games.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Explore the fascinating field of AI and its applications.
  • Building and Coding Drones and Robots: Get hands-on experience in constructing and programming drones and robots.
  • Understanding Energy and Motion: Discover the principles of energy and motion through exciting experiments.

My child is to follow these arrangements after the STEM Saturday program at United Way HDC:


In consideration of United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties allowing the Student Participant to participate in child/youth activities, I, the undersigned, do hereby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties, its sponsors, affiliated organizations, and employees, authorized volunteers, and associated personnel of these organizations, and the Harrison County Board of Education, from any and all liability, claims or demands for accidental personal injury, sickness or death, as well as property damage and expenses, of any nature whatsoever which may be incurred by the undersigned and the Student Participant while involved in the children/youth activities. I, the parent or legal guardian of the Student Participant, hereby grant my permission for the Student Participant to participate fully in child/youth activities. Furthermore, I, on behalf of my minor Student Participant, hereby assume all risk of accidental personal injury, sickness, death, damage and expense as a result of participation in recreation and activities involved therein. The undersigned further hereby agrees to hold harmless and indemnify said United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties, its sponsors, affiliated organizations, and employees, authorized volunteers, and associated personnel of these organizations, and Harrison County Board of Education, for any liability sustained by said organization as the result of the negligent, willful or intentional acts of said Student Participant, including expenses incurred attendant thereto.
